Day Group Escorted Holiday to India
Departing from and returning to, Bradley's Restaurant. ~
Escorted throughout by Andrew Bradley and in addition by
a local guide in India.
The tour will include ~ Transfer to and from Heathrow ~
Scheduled return flights to Delhi ~ 11 nights in 5* hotels
~ Dinner and breakfast each day ~ Two restaurant lunches
~ All travel, food, accommodation, guides, visits and entrance
tickets as indicated in the itinerary below.
Travelling on an escorted tour with a group of like minded
people (all Bradley's customers) will add to your holiday
experience. You can relax and enjoy socialising with your
fellow passengers while Andrew and the local guide take
care of all the complex travel arrangements.
As this trip is a huge step away from our normal offering
we are at this stage only testing to see what interest there
might be in such a trip. As such the price, itinerary and
date of travel all need to be finalised. However, we are
working on the itinerary as below, departing the beginning
of March and with an all inclusive price of around £2,200
pp based on two sharing a twin/double room.
Single occupancy of a room would add around £700.
We anticipate taking a group of around thirty (that's only

The Planned
Itinerary
Days 1 & 2 To Delhi - Meet at Bradley's Restaurant
from where we depart for London Heathrow and on to our overnight
flight to Delhi, we arrive late morning on Day 2 and immediately
transfer to our city centre 5* Hotel. After check-in we
have an afternoon of sight seeing by private luxury coach.
Dinner in the hotel.

Day 3 Sightseeing in Delhi - After breakfast in the hotel
we board our luxury coach for a full day of sight seeing
in Delhi. Visiting the monuments, temples, ancient streets,
and colourful markets of old Delhi and the wide, leafy avenues
of British colonial New Delhi. Dinner in the hotel.

Day 4 By train to Shimla - Today, we leave our hotel early
and board the Shatabdi Express to Kalka, where we change
onto the narrow-gauge mountain railway, an engineering marvel
which takes us through spectacular scenery over and through
countless bridges, viaducts and tunnels to the colonial
town of Shimla. Known as the 'Queen of the Hills', Shimla
is nestled in the heart of the Himalayan foothills and was
the summer capital of the British Raj. We stay in a five
star hotel for the next three nights. Dinner and breakfast
each day.

Days 5 & 6 - Shimla - After breakfast in the hotel we
have a sightseeing tour of Shimla with an included lunch
at . From mid afternoon and for the whole of day 6 you are
free to explore Shimla at your leisure.

Day 7 By train to Delhi - After breakfast in the hotel we
depart Shimla following the same route back to Delhi for
another night in our 5*, Delhi hotel.

Day 8 The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort - This morning we re-join
the Shatabdi Express, this time southbound for Agra and
the Taj Mahal. On arrival we first visit Agra's imposing
Red Fort, considered India's most important fortification
before we travel across the city to the Taj Mahal itself,
considered the finest example of Mughal architecture. We
transfer to our 5* hotel and dinner.

Day 9 Fatehpur Sikri - We leave Agra by luxury coach taking
the Jaipur highway. We will stop is at Fatehpur Sikri, a
perfectly preserved ancient red sandstone city built in
the 16th century as India's political capital. We have lunch
included at a local restaurant before continuing north to
Jaipur, We spend the next three nights at the 5* Sheraton
Rajputana Palace. Dinner and breakfast each day.

10 Jaipur - After breakfast we begin a full day of sight
seeing around Jaipur in our private luxury coach.

Day 11 At leisure in Jaipur - Today you are free to explore
further this wonderful city, take advantage of the hotel's
many facilities or relax in the extensive grounds.

Day 12 The Amber Fort then return to Delhi - This morning
we travel to the Amber Fort, with luck we will be able to
make our final approach to the fort by elephant. We will
also visit the wonderful Palace of the Winds, the Jal Mahal
Water Palace and the Jaigarh Fort which offers stunning
views of the foothills of the Arrival mountain range. After
lunch head back to Delhi for a farewell dinner.

Day 13 - Return home - We transfer mid-morning to Delhi
Airport for our return flight to London, arriving late afternoon,
we then continue on to Huddersfield and Bradford.
